End of summer...

Lily did a lot of swimming this summer since both grandparents have a pool, and she also loved going to the splash park. We tried getting her back in her little inflatable pool at our house, but in her mind (and understandably so!) it was a step backwards and she just wasn't interested. On our daily walk she always remembers which houses have a pool (that she can see) and now that the weather is getting cooler, when we walk by those same houses she'll say "POOL! POOL!" and wonder why she can't see them anymore (they're closing up). It's sad to see the days of summer end, but we're excited for fall and everything coming up (Lily's 2nd birthday, Daddy's birthday, all the grandparents birthdays and the upcoming arrival of a little baby brother or sister!)

Lily has shown MUCH more of an interest in little babies recently. We visited a friend who just had a baby and he got to lay on Lily's lap. She was mesmerized. Now when she sees or hears a baby she's very interested and will walk right up to take a look. I hope her interest is a good sign that she'll adjust well to her little sibling.

Here are a few pics from the end of Lily's pool days for the summer.

Getting a hug from her cousin. I love this picture - her face is priceless!

Could they be any happier!?
Lily and Grandma Cole

They went into the pool before and after dinner and since cousin E didn't have a second swim diaper, he just used his regular one. It was just hilarious seeing him waddle around with this 25 lb diaper on!
Kick, kick, kick!
