Indoor Activities

I love this little book, but I like looking at the camera even more...

Lil' kickin' her feet up as usual.

Boomer was intrigued by the Old McDonald puppet book as well...

Lily loves the part of Itsy Bitsy Spider when, "down came the rain and wasssshhhhed the spider out..."

Nibblin' on Spongecake...

Grilling out, backyard patios, cornhole, good friends, Jimmy Buffett, margaritas...doesn't that just sound heavenly? Our good friends and Uncle Dave and Ray Ray came over for the first official grill-out of the year. Evan, Peyton and Lily had a good time just being outdoors. Here's to many more outdoor dining sessions this summer!

Lily and her buddy Evan

Like father like son, no!?!

Julie said Peyton never sits still like this - he was relaxing as well!

Rachel's first hamburger in 20 years!! J/k - Boca burger...

And here are 2 shots from Lily's outing to Sharon Woods. I met up with Julie and Michelle and their little ones. Unfortunately I didn't get any pics of the mass of kids at the park that day - it was crowded! Lil' looks a little tuckered out in these pictures, and as you can imagine, she was fast asleep as soon as we hit the car ride home.
Hiding from the paparazzi...

Lily's Antics

Our little sweet pea loves her toys, teething rings and ribbon that we hang on the cabinet handle. There are times when it's time for bed or she's ready to eat and we'll take them away. She won't notice, right!? Well, she has started asserting her feelings on us taking her things away (as is shown in the video when daddy doesn't give her back the teething ring quick enough). Oh Lil'....

Good Day Sunshine...

We've had a wonderful last couple of days with this beautiful weather. Being able to enjoy the patio in the backyard has been the best! After having been cooped up inside all winter, Lily just loves being outdoors. She's just "discovered" the water in her bathtub and is non-stop splashing and playing. I think she's going to be a water baby! Can't wait to get her in the pool (and put on her cute ruffle butt swimsuit!)
~
Along the lines of her "discoveries" - she's also become more and more aware of Boomer. She gets this high pitched squeal when he comes by or licks her toes. Like we always say to him, "Boom - you don't even know what's in store for you..."

Here are a few pictures from the last couple days...

Whooooaaaa...trying to fly in her Bumbo.

This cute thing she does - sucking on her lower lip (excuse the saliva dribble).
Our little cupcake.

One happy baby with her daddy...

Is he really going to just lay there and let me grab his fur!?!?

New York, New York!

Lily had quite the big adventure recently -she flew for the first time to New York to visit our good friends, the McFarland's! I was admittedly a little nervous doing this by myself with Lily, but we both did fine! In fact, she really did great - slept on all legs of the flight (which I'm sure all passengers sitting next to us were quite pleased with as well). Coming home from NY we were in 1st class so Lil' was really flying in style. It was definitely nice having a little extra leg room.

The trip was so nice and it was awesome seeing Kelly and Joel and their 2 children: Cooper (3 yrs) and Macy (10 months). We had a great time walking along the Erie Canal, playing at the park, making meals...and yummy cookies, going to see Kelly's parent's lakehouse on Lake Seneca, and just relaxing and catching up. Cooper cracks me up...he loves playing cars and asking questions about everything. When I was putting on a little makeup one morning, Coop stood right by my side asking, "WHAT are you doing!?" After I put a little glossy chapstick on, he replied, "you are soooo pretty." He probably said that 3 or 4 times. I need him around more often! He was really cute with Macy and Lily - he's a good big brother.

I couldn't have asked for a better trip. They are such good friends and I would've normally been in tears leaving, but they'll be traveling to Cincy for the Flying Pig Marathon which is in a short week and 1/2, so it wasn't too hard. I really miss having them close by - to say that is such an understatement! However, I know they are life long friends and we'll be visiting back and forth until we're old and gray. :)

Doesn't it look like they're having a hoot!

Lily is thinking, "seriously mom, look at the get-up you have me in..."

This picture cracks me up - Lily loving the exersaucer in the background and Cooper saying, "CHEESE!"

The beautiful view of Seneca Lake at the Carpenter's lakehouse.

Thanks for a great trip!!!

I *Heart* Applesauce!

Hard to believe Lil' is eating "real" food now! She's had rice cereal and now applesauce. The other day my mom and I (thanks mom!) made a bunch of baby food (applesauce, sweet potato, acorn squash, avocado and bananas). It was actually pretty easy and it's nice to know exactly what she's eating. It's been a while since we had it, but the acorn squash tasted so good that I think I'll have to pick up a few more for our dinner. It'll be a whole family affair!

Lily's Favorite Song

Lily in a little "Gigi" outfit!

We were at Library Babies today and Lily loves all the books we look through and songs we sing, but she gets all giggly when we do "Itsy Bitsy Spider." It's funny because even if we're in the car and Lil' gets fussy, all we have to do is start singing that song and she's quiet. As soon as I start singing it to her, she gets a huge smile. Ahhh, the simple things in life...

Breakin' It Down

Daddy's nightly routine is to dance with Lily in the living room. She sure loves her daddy...

Too Cool!

Our little ham! Or as daddy calls her...his "little cutie cute-kins."

Happy Easter!

We had a great time this past Easter with family and friends. It was action packed - Jimmy's 1st birthday party, dinner at her buddy Ari's house (along with Joel & Sarah) :), church where she got to show off her sparkly shoes, brunch at grandma and grandpa Cole's (and a special visit from great grandma Evelyn!), and dinner at grandma and grandpa Bea's house. She then met Peyton and his mommy Julie up at Kenwood to walk and hang out together. Here are a few pictures from a great weekend!

She even got multiple visits from the Easter bunny (thanks grandparents and "aunt" Ray Ray!)

All smiles with Grandma Cole
