Our Very Own Snuggie

When Lily gets sleepy or when she just feels like taking a rest, she'll put her head on our shoulder and snuggle. It's the sweetest thing ever. She'll do it before every nap and when we put her down to sleep at night.

When I'm holding her, I just think about this precious little being in my arms and how she brings so much love and joy to our lives. Despite the craziness of this world and all the ups and downs, there's truly so much to be thankful for...

Trip to the Toy Store

We took her to the toy store to "pick" out a few things. I remember when I was little and Johnny's Toy Store would send a key in the mail a few weeks before our birthday. We could then go and use our key to "unlock" the door of a castle inside the store and pick out a present. We looked forward to that every year. I wonder if they do that anymore!? No matter - right now Lily loves the wrapping paper and balloons as much as any toy, so this trip might've been a bit more for us than her...but we all had fun!
