Playdate!

Friends of mine from St. Gabriel grade school days stopped over with their babies for a little play date.

Chloe and Lily.

Noah representing the male population that afternoon.
Anna showing the little ones how it's done.

If you think this toy box is fun, just wait 'til you get to play in the fridge box one day!

Fall Leaves and Reading to Herself

I like sitting in front of the leaves MUCH better than when you placed me IN the leaves!

Hmmmm...what to do with this leaf...

Do you want it?

Shall I put it on my head?

I think I'll give it a taste instead.

After playing in the leaves, here I am just drinking my milk and reading my books...

Sometimes she tries to stick her finger in her mouth as she's drinking...
It's funny that she now has particular books she likes us to read to her. If we start one of the books that she's not crazy about, she'll try to close it and point to a different one.
The Caterpillar classic...

2 at a time...

...he was a beautiful butterfly! (one advantage of reading books over and over and over again...you can recite the words just by seeing the picture!)

It's even more fun facing backwards in the chair!

Favorite Pastime

Lily loves her books. She loves when we read them to her and even when she's on her own and playing with her toys, she'll pull out the books and flip through them. When I put her down for a nap she'll point to her books (not sure if this is a ploy to delay the nap or what!?) and she screeches in delight when we start reading to her. Hopefully she'll always love to read!

And here are a few pictures of our little angel.

C'mon...hand over the camera! That's what I really want here!

Cottage Cheese, No and Fake Cry

Lily now will feed herself if we hand her the spoon with food on it. But, only if she's in the mood as you'll see in the video! I did get her shaking her head no and faking a cry. Little one knows what she wants! If she doesn't want to do something (eat anymore, get out of the bath) - we get the head shake. We're trying to teach her to shake her head yes, but I think that's a harder one to master!

Our Very Own Snuggie

When Lily gets sleepy or when she just feels like taking a rest, she'll put her head on our shoulder and snuggle. It's the sweetest thing ever. She'll do it before every nap and when we put her down to sleep at night.

When I'm holding her, I just think about this precious little being in my arms and how she brings so much love and joy to our lives. Despite the craziness of this world and all the ups and downs, there's truly so much to be thankful for...

Little sweet pea.

Big Smile...

Lily always gives us the cutest smile where she scrunches her whole face up. She does it about a million times a day. Here's a cute video where she does the smiley face scrunch. Also, note Boomer's totally comfortable position over Greg's leg...

In this video Lily wonders what the heck is wrong with her toy maraca that is losing battery power...

Our Little Ladybug

Obviously a little behind on posts, but here are some Halloween pictures of our little ladybug!

Took Lily down to my (ML's) work for a visit.

So many fun toys!

Aren't I just the cutest ladybug ever!?
Gotta get the full ladybug view.
Showing off for neighbor Katie.

Checking out all the trick-or-treaters with her dad.
