With Lily scooting everywhere and her love of using the dust buster - we're going to have the cleanest floors!
We thought this would be a great way to chronicle our lives, our beautiful children, our good old dog Boomer and anything else that comes our way. Life truly is good...

The Finale
So we took Lily to one of my favorite restaurants - The Grand Finale. I actually worked there through high school and part of college, so I'm probably biased. Anyway, we went to celebrate my mom and dad's birthday. It always seems like whenever we have something specific to do, and need Lily to sleep really well - she does the exact opposite. So that day of course she decided she didn't want to take an afternoon nap. I was worried about how she'd be without her sleep, but she did just fine.
Perfect seat - right by the window.
Lily Helping Out
For my mom's birthday, in lieu of gifts, she requested that the family volunteer together at the Ronald McDonald house. We decided to bring Lily with us and she couldn't have had more fun. They have a great playroom off the cafeteria where she had a fun time playing with some of the kids.

Happy birthday mom - what a great birthday gift!

Time for lunch!
Lily - don't get any ideas. We don't need a toy kitchen just yet...
Oh Happy Day!
Better late than never - here are some pictures from my brother Dave and Rachel's wedding on September 4. We couldn't be happier for them! Lily sure loves her new aunt (and next door neighbor!) They got married in a small chapel in Glendale and both families went to dinner afterwards at Montgomery Inn. The next day the family reception was on the B&B riverboats and the following weekend the friend reception was on a rooftop building downtown. It was a whirlwind of activity, but a wonderful time!

Scooting and Raspberries
I realized I haven't posted about Lily's new mode of getting around...scooting! Ever since she was teeny tiny, she never liked tummy time and had no interest in crawling. Instead, she scoots everywhere. She gets where she needs to go - it just takes her a little bit longer! She'll stand against furniture and will "walk" when we hold her hands. At her 1 year check-up the doctor said she'll probably go from scooting straight to walking. This video is a bit long (warning!) but it's a funny one of her scooting around and blowing raspberries.
Peek-a-boo
Lily loves playing peek-a-boo and will hide behind her bowl, bib, blanket - whatever she can find!
